Electrochemically-based hybrid oxidative technologies for the treatment of micropollutants in drinking water

چکیده
Simultaneous degradation of sulfadiazine, naproxen, diclofenac, ketoprofen and ibuprofen from drinking water was investigated by different technologies including photolysis, electrooxidation, photo-electrooxidation, zero-valent iron their combinations. All oxidation were very effective for the all drugs under anoxic conditions efficiency decreased oxic conditions. Results also revealed that can be photochemically degraded direct reactions, being diclofenac completely in only 10 min. Oxidizability with electrooxidation decreases sequence sulfadiazine > naproxen ibuprofen. Antagonistic effect observed when photolysis coupled to conditions, except O2 bubbling. On other hand, synergistic ZVI + Photo-electrooxidation removal. nitrogen bubbling found most efficient process.

Conversion of organic micropollutants with limited bromate formation during the Peroxone process in drinking water treatment
Advanced oxidation with O3 /H2O2 (peroxone) was conducted on pilot plant scale on pre-treated Meuse river water to investigate the conversion of organic micropollutants (OMPs) and the formation of bromate. Fourteen selected model compounds were dosed to the pre-treated river water on a regular basis to assess the efficiency of the peroxone process and to establish the influence of the water mat...

Quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSARs) for the transformation of organic micropollutants during oxidative water treatment.
Various oxidants such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ferrate(VI), ozone, and hydroxyl radicals can be applied for eliminating organic micropollutant by oxidative transformation during water treatment in systems such as drinking water, wastewater, and water reuse. Over the last decades, many second-order rate constants (k) have been determined for the reaction of these oxidants with model compou...
متن کاملBioanalytical tools for the evaluation of organic micropollutants during sewage treatment, water recycling and drinking water generation.
A bioanalytical test battery was used for monitoring organic micropollutants across an indirect potable reuse scheme testing sites across the complete water cycle from sewage to drinking water to assess the efficacy of different treatment barriers. The indirect potable reuse scheme consists of seven treatment barriers: (1) source control, (2) wastewater treatment plant, (3) microfiltration, (4)...
